SeungNyang saves Wang Yu, Bayan, Tal Tal, and Togon afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith being implicated afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith a failed rebellion afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith El Temur. Out afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith gratitude, El Temur promotes Bayan as governor. He also pressures Togon afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith deposing the Empress Dowager who has placed afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith herself all the blame afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the rebellion. Togon banishes her afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith a nunnery.

When El Temur denies Wang Yu’s request to be reinstated afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith King of Koryo, he decides to return to Koryo, but SeungNyang stays to search for the Blood Vow. SeungNyang wants to use the will afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith El Temur and his family afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith her revenge and to help Wang Yu regain his throne.

SeungNyang becomes pregnant and hides afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith several months afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith a secret room afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the palace. She survives afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the help afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith her Koryo friends - the head eunuch, Lady Noh, Lady Park, and some kitchen maids. She finally escapes afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the palace, but Lady Park, Lady Noh, and her kitchen maid-friends are massacred afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith Tanasiri’s order. SeungNyang escapes afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the massacre and gives birth prematurely afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith a cave. Later on, she is shot afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith an arrow afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith Yom Byungsu, and her baby gets thrown afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the river below. She buries her friends, and not being able to find her baby in the river, she accepts reluctantly that her baby died.

But SeungNyang’s baby is found alive afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith a monk who brings it afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the hermitage where Tanasiri is staying. Tanasiri, who is faking her pregnancy, claims the baby afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith her own, naming him Maha. To hide her secret, Tanasiri orders that the monks be poisoned and the hermitage be burned down.

SeungNyang and former eunuch Jokho are captured afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith slave traders affiliated afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the secretive group Eagle House. (The group, afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith help from El Temur, controls business afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith Yuan afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith counterfeiting and other shady practices.) While being held captive, SeungNyang finds the Blood Vow hidden afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith Lady Noh’s gift afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith her. She gains her freedom afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith Bayan, out of gratitude, buys her afteragainstasbyforfrominintoofonthroughtouponwith the slave market.
